The effect of attribute framing on consumers’ attitudes and intentions toward food: A Meta-analysis

This paper analyzes the existing literature on effect of attribute framing consumers’ attitudes and intentions with regard to food products. Attribute includes a broader interpretation gains losses when product is presented in dichotomous way, such as fat vs. lean or harm benefit. Meta-analysis results for whole sample indicate that attributes framed have higher than losses. Grouping studies by outcome variables, meta-analysis demonstrates larger size assess consumer attitude while dealing intention, close zero insignificant. We observe from meta-regression gain frame, use interaction terms, specific product, student significantly influence intentions.
